With over 20 years of experience studying the birds of Essex County, Miles brings deep knowledge of migration patterns, local habitats, and seasonal specialties to every outing. He has collaborated with state and federal agencies, nonprofits, and universities to study migratory birds across the Western Hemisphere.

Through his work as a naturalist guide for sea kayaking companies in Massachusetts and Washington, he developed a passion for educating others about the natural world, guided by the belief that birds can serve as a powerful gateway to understanding and connecting with the environment.
